Just a dad vs I-70

The Weird Foothill Guy (@WFG_DEN) grew up in northern Vermont, Boulder, Vail Valley and Steamboat. Near skiing. After college had a lengthy career in ski area and ski retail marketing then a podcast called Wintry Mix that some of you have enjoyed.

Not anymore.

Ensconced in a new career while raising kids in the Denver area, grabbing a few runs midday or before/after work became problematic, at least under the typical definitions of skiing.

Thanks to the Marquette Backcountry Ski WFG now gets a full season of fresh turns Nov-May without battling I-70 traffic, avalanche terrain or Epic Lift Lines, and never driving very far.
